THE KILLER is a reimagining of the 1989 Hong Kong classic, set in Paris and released on Peacock. The film follows Zee (Nathalie Emmanuel), a feared assassin known as the "Queen of the Dead," who works for Finn (Sam Worthington), a handler tied to crime lord Jules Gobert. Zee’s life of calculated kills unravels when she spares Jenn (Diana Silvers), a young singer accidentally blinded during a nightclub hit involving a samurai sword. This act of mercy puts Zee at odds with Finn, who demands Jenn’s death to tie up loose ends, plunging Zee into a dangerous web of betrayal.

As Zee protects Jenn, she’s pursued by Finn’s thugs and a tenacious cop, Sey (Omar Sy), investigating her crimes. Sey, linked to Zee through a past case, begins to see her as more than a killer, creating tension between duty and empathy. The narrative weaves through Paris’ underworld, with Zee confronting her traumatic past—marked by an addict mother and an abusive pimp—while navigating a criminal conspiracy involving drug heists and corrupt cops.
